This ball is a complete disgrace. I am like the third best goalkeep in England and I can’t even stop this thing. I buddy of mine kicked a slow roller to me and I completely muffed it in front of billions of people. Know people in my country will never forgive me for this. And it wasn’t even my fault! IT WAS THE BALL!!! It dipped and ducked and dodged and swerved and I could only get my fingertips on it. I hate this ball. Now James will be the goalkeeper for England but I bet he can’t stop this thing either. It’s like impossible.
To follow up on ones comments,if you want a ball for your kids to play with in the backyard, buy a $30.00 soccerball. Thie $150.00 ball will be a collectors item. I have been collecting official World cup march-play balls for 20 years. I probably have 15 soccer balls in my garage, and I would never pay that much for a everyday ball, they wear out too quick.
Nana terra, i really dont think you are commenting on the right ball, this is at full price a $150 ball if you cant predict its course in a pass then YOU need to learn how to pass the ball acurately… this is NOT a “play in the back yard” ball this is a PROFESSIONAL GRADE ball. if you cant ‘VOLLEY’ the ball, (which you dont even know the term used) then again…. go to soccer school and learn how to play…. DO NOT blame the ball…..
now my review…
i was Semi-Pro, this ball is the most amazing piece of equipment i have ever used and wish the technology was discovered in my ‘serious’ playing days… THANK YOU ADIDAS!!!!! the flight is fast and acurate, and the curve you can place on it is ASTOUNDING!!!
it comes white, not silver as some pictures show, that is NOT the same ball as this. this is the EXACT, ACTUAL
ball they use during the 2010 world cup. the surface has a ‘super tacky’ compound to it that adidas has researched which makes it vary easy to grab Goalkeeper wise even in the wet! BUT thats NOT including the flight from a well-struck shot!!
the ball is seamless so totally waterpoof, i read about someone deflating it for travel, which i also tried.. DONT DO IT!
it does crack, but then again this ball was never designed to be deflated, EVER! only to stay inflated!
over all, the most magnificent ball ever… BUT VERY VERY Expensive if your paying the RRP of 150 bux, so if you can afford it, “you get what you pay for”… this is a prime example.
hope this helps you decide.
PRO: This ball is very good for children because it is a light ball and easy to kick. Moves fast.
CONS: It’s a very bad ball for any serious game. It’s too slippery, so I’d advice you to use it often to get used to it before you introduce it in games that matters to you. It looks and feel like a toy sold in discount store. Very hard to keep it in the air if you are trying to kick it after a pass and before it touches the ground. You try to kick it to someone and you can’t predict the route it will take… super hard to grab it when wet, even with goalie gloves on. The price is too stiff for the low quality offered.
Obrigada!
Best Soccerball ever. Now I know why soccer players kick hard and move fast. Its all about the Ball
