   This is a great, low-profile, non-slip case. I got it for my 3G to replace another silicon case that tore. This case looks great, seems to be extremely well-built and feels great in-hand. Corners are reinforced for added protection. The bottom is cut out for the 30-pin port, mic and speaker. There is also a hole for the headphone jack, the camera lens and the mute switch. The earpiece is obviously uncovered and there is a stylish cutout for the proximity and light detectors. Volume, on/off and the ‘home’ buttons are covered, yet the case is masterfully articulated to allow full, unrestricted action of the buttons. There is a decorative opening exposing the Apple logo on the back. The case fits very snug on the phone. I am now an Otter Box fan and will definitely consider future products. The iPhone accessory market is flooded with worthless items – this case is definitely NOT one of them.

   The Impact Otter Box is a necessary purchase for the iPhone. It is not bulky, but still protects the iPhone. I have already accidentally dropped my iPhone a few times on tile and cement and my iPhone (and Impact actually) have no damage at all. Although the material may collect small debris, it easily brushes off without needing to use force, wet cloth, etc. I find this detracts nothing from its protection or sleek design, so no points lost there. I am very happy with my purchase and highly recommend the Impact to iPhone users.

   If this case was not way to big it would be perfect. It improves grip, add protection, looks great. HOWEVER, it is way to big. The iphone in this case is literally so loose it blocks entire top speaker and covers 1/2 camera.

   Since getting my iPhone several months ago I have been through several cases. Of course some were more style than function, so I continued looking for one that would provide both. No less than three friends and acquaintances suggested I look into OtterBox and recently I finally did. Because I am a bargain shopper I decided to try out this basic black Impact Case for iPhone. It was easy to get my phone into it and I liked that it also included a screen protector.

   I’ve had it on my phone for a while now and I haven’t had any issues. It provides great grip, easy access to all the buttons and cosmetic protection from falls. I have noticed that because of the silicone it will attract fuzz and dust, but if you remove it from your phone it can be rinsed under the faucet to remove any. Definitely a good product and this item was particularly at a good price. I’ll continue to give OtterBox my business and recommend them to friends.
