This planner & organizer has been wonderful! I’m planning a “budget” wedding (we’re planning on spending under $5,000 for EVERYTHING) and it’s still helpful. (Lots of others are aimed at big, expensive weddings). This planner offers worksheets, ideas, tips, and more.

After reading tons of reviews on Amazon, and looking at dozens in the book store, I decided on this one. I’ve had it for a couple months, and use it all the time. I’ve added lots of my own pages copied from other books or cut out of magazines and it’s all holding up very well!

If you’re trying to decide between this one and “The Ultimate Wedding Planner & Organizer, 2nd Edition” (I was) there are very few differences. That one has a customizable cover (you can slip in your own photo), and comes with a tote bag and business card holders. This one has full color “idea” photos, photos of wedding flowers, and tabbed dividers. Other than that, all the pages are exactly the same.

Whichever one you decide on, order it here! Both are several $$s more in the store. :)

Unfortunately, this is the third binder (after hours of review and analyzing) I have bought to help keep everything organized during the wedding planning process. I have decided to keep the binder after deciding that I don’t believe a practical binder exists. The folders do not hold a piece of paper (they must be folded in half), this has been typical of the binders I have looked at. The binder does have some helpful questions for vendors and vendor comparison sheets. The Knot book of lists also has most of this information. I added pocket folders, clear pocket sheets and printed most of the resources I needed (budget sheets, payment tracking, guest lists, etc). I think that most wedding planning binders will have to be personalized and made practical with supplies from Staples. This planner seems to be focused on being a keepsake (there are pages to talk about how the wedding went) and there are several checklists included (these can be found elsewhere and are very basic but a good starting point).

This planner has been wonderful! I love the 3-hole punch in the front, so that I can add all of the papers I’ve collected along the way. The pouches in each section make it easy to store things like samples, business cards, etc. The pictures are nice, and the advice is definitely useful. My only complaint: Not much for your guests addresses/guest list.

The content is great but the product isn’t made very well. The bride to be that I gifted it too told me her pages were falling out of the binder!

It’s definitely geared towards a one-size-fits-all wedding. Plan on tweaking this planner if you don’t have a lot of money.
